What do fire departments do when they don't have hydrants for water supply?

They set up a water supply using tanker shuttles which fill large water holding tanks which other apparatus can use that water to fight the fire.

This weekend several departments Auburn NH Fire Department and Chester Fire Department hosted a "Got Big Water" water supply drill this weekend in Auburn.

The drill consisted of classroom review each morning and rural water supply drills in the afternoon taught by nationally recognized instructors from GBW Associates LLC.

This water supply helps give guidance for insurance rates for homeowners and businesses and is very important.

They finished with a 2-hour ISO water supply drill, which included crews and apparatus from several surrounding fire departments.
