Nashua, NH - Nashua Fire Rescue responded to a building fire with heavy fire and smoke in the basement. Immediately they were notified no people were in the building but two pets remained in the building.

NFR removed a small dog and guinea pig handing them off to AMR Medics waiting for the pets. The EMS personnel tried relentlessly to do CPR and administer oxygen to the two pets. Unfortunately the pets did not survive.

I think it is important to show how hard First Responders try save pets, and how much they respect their lives as much as humans. This is a sad outcome this time, but so many times pets are saved and reunited to their owners.

It is important to thank NFR and AMR for the heroic actions taken in an attempt to save the pets.
