A tractor trailer traveling on 93 South Bound in Manchester lost control crossing into the lane of 293 South colliding with a pick up truck. The tractor trailer unit crushed the pick up while it continued to slide over the embankment. The Tractor trailer came to rest in an unstable position with the pick up truck and the occupants trapped.
MFD and AMR responded with several units including Rescue 1 with the Jaws of Life and Station 7 with the collapse support trailer.
The tractor trailer was stabilized by one crew while the other crews worked to extricate the adult male trapped in the drivers side of the pick up truck. After an extended time the victim was extricated, suffering from serious injuries he was rushed to the Elliot Hospital.
