Bow, NH - Bow Fire received calls for a steeple on fire at the Crossroads Community Church at 6 Londonderry Branch Turnpike East. Upon arrival BFD Chief Mitchell Harrington had flames approx 75 ft in the air from the steeple of the church. Several mutual towns were in route, and a second alarm was requested for water and manpower. Heavy rains helped limit the spread of the fire, and the fire was knocked down in approx 1 hour. No one was in the church at the time of the fire, and it is believed to have started due to a lightning strike during a widespread storm.
