DEERFIELD, NH - On Sunday November 20, 2022 Deerfield Fire Department and several mutual aid towns were dispatched to a report of a fully involved barn fire at 51 Meeting House Hill Road on.br/br/When responders arrived at about 11:30 a.m. they found a garage attached to a house fully engulfed in fire and immediately called for a second alarm to bring more resources to the scene and for station coverage.br/br/The structure quickly collapsed and firefighters worked in windy conditions to keep the fire from further damaging the house, and spreading to nearby brush. Crews worked to apply streams of water to the house which was built in 1764.br/br/The garage was a total loss, despite intense fire and wind the house primarily had exterior damage with some smoke that entered the house.br/br/Several towns responded including Auburn, Allenstown, Candia, Chester, Chichester, Durham, Epping, Lee, Raymond, and Strafford. br/br/Deerfield Fire Chief Matt Fisher said the cause and origin of the fire are not known at this time.
