HOOKSETT, NH - Hooksett Fire responded to Zapora Drive Sunday for a reported brush fire behind a house. On arrival they had a wooded area burning that was being fueled by dry brush, trees, and several flammable items such as ATV’s, sheds, woodpiles, and a chicken coop.

A second alarm was quickly requested bringing mutual aid from several departments to the scene and for station coverage.

Zapora Drive was closed by Hooksett Police so that water supply could be set up. The fire burned for a few hours, and crews had to do extensive overhaul to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

The cause of the fire will be investigated by Hooksett Fire, however nothing indicates it is suspicious.
