HPD NHSP Homicide Investigation 12-22-18
Hillsboro, NH - December 22, 2018 Hillsboro Police, and EMS were dispatched to Old Henniker Rd at 245 am Saturday for a report of an assault. EMS was advised to stage away from the address and await for police to ensure a secure scene. A short time after arrival one member of EMS was requested to enter the residence which is a mobile home, a short time after entry EMS broadcast they were clearing and it was a police matter, and police had the scene.
The NHAG and Hillsboro Police issued a press release that stated NHSP Major Crimes, NH AG and Hillsboro Police were investigating a suspicious death of an adult male.
NHSP Major crimes arrived on scene with the Major Crimes truck for processing the scene. The medical examiners office was on scene as well as a hearse from a local funeral home.
At Hillsboro Police Station NH Associate Attorney General Jeffrey Strelzin spoke briefly stating that the victim who is an adult male was found at the scene deceased, and the victim would be transported to Concord for an autopsy to determine manner and cause of death. He advised at this time no one has been arrested for any crime connected to the death.
On Sunday 12/23/18 the NHAG and NHSP issued a press release indicating the person died as a result of a stab wound, and the manner of death was a homicide. The victim was identified as Brett Wilson (age 51), who has a last known residence in Elkins/New London, New Hampshire.
The police believe they have identified all the parties involved in the incident and there is no evidence to suggest that there is a threat to the general public.
