Honor Flight New England brought tears of joy to participants of todays Honor flight out of Manchester Boston Regional Airport.
Members of the group who served our country are given a heroes welcome as they arrive at the airport. Hundreds of people line the hallways of shaking hands with the heroes, and giving hugs.
One member of the contingency is 100 years old, and had served the Air Force. He was originally stationed at the Grenier Air Force base which is now the location of the Manchester Boston Regional Airport.
Family members, friends, and volunteers escort the veterans onto the plane for a flight to visit Washington DC. monuments. They are welcomed in DC by the area police departments who escort the motorcade to each location. The flight returns to Manchester at 11:15 pm after a full day of activities.
