MFD Respond To Fire Reported By Alert Neighbor

On Sunday 9/29/19 neighbors called 911 reporting smoke coming from the back and front of a 2.5 story house at 53 Lilac Ct.

When Companies arrived they discovered a fire in the basement that had extended to the kitchen on the 1st floor. Firefighters quickly knocked down the bulk of the fire and performed an extensive overhaul of the structure.

There was serious fire damage to the finished basement and 1st-floor kitchen along with smoke and heat damage throughout the dwelling. The fire is under investigation and the occupants will be staying with family.

The fire was brought under control at 12:59 and all units cleared by 13:59
