MFD ACC McGreggor St - 122-1647
Manchester - A older female driver was leaving the parking lot of Rite Aid on McGregor St, for unknown reasons she rapidly accelerated. She went across the lanes of traffic nearly missing a vehicle, jumping the median, jumping the curb and crashing in to a large granite wall which collapsed on the vehicle.
MFD responded with Engine 6, Rescue 1, District Chief Burns, and 2 AMR ALS units. The jaws of life were used to remove a door, and to access part of the vehicle. A elderly passenger in the vehicle was also extricated with non-life threatening injuries. According to witnesses on scene the people had just had their car jump started by a good Samaritan in the parking lot of the drug store. The driver and occupant received serious injuries, but they do not appear to be life threatening. ©Jeffrey Hastings / www.frameofmindphoto.com/news
