Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to a reported barn fire at 7:15 am Friday morning at 45 Bates Rd. First arriving unit reported smoke showing from a 2.5 story barn with an office area. A working fire assignment was called as MFR entered the building and found blueprints on fire which were quickly extinguished, and adjacent items were removed from the building. MFR checked for extension which was negative, and evacuated smoke from the building. The under control was quickly given, and the damage was limited to smoke and water.
