It is hard to deny that the new Comfort dog being added to Manchester Police isn't by far the cutest member of the department.
The mixed-breed k9 was rescued and brought to MPD by Hero Pups of Portsmouth.
According to MPD Public Information Officer, The dog can be a resource for members of the Manchester community. The hope is that the dog will bring comfort to victims of physical/sexual abuse, children in traumatic situations, and many other crisis incidents.
It’s a beneficial tool that the MPD can use to be even more responsive to the public’s needs.
This dog will be thoroughly trained throughout the year, along with his handler Det. Justin Breton. There will also be back up handlers when Det. Breton is unavailable.
