Nashua Fire Purchases Cancer Preventing Gear With Funds From Firehouse Subs

Bruce Stone the owner of the Firehouse Subs franchise presented $15,000 to Nashua Fire Rescue for the purchase of 158 Particulate blocking hoods. These hoods are designed to block cancer causing carcinogens from being absorbed into the skin around the face and neck which is the most unprotected area for a firefighter when involved in firefighting.

They also donated a case of hand wipes that are used when they come out of a fire to quickly wipe down any cancer causing carcinogens off of their face and neck.
