Amherst, NH - Amherst Fire was dispatched to 19 Baboosic Lake Rd shortly after 1 am Thursday morning for a person with a gunshot wound. On arrival the ambulance requested an engine for assistance and communicated that CPR was in progress.

In radio communication the NH State Police Major Crimes unit and the member of the NH Medical Examiner’s office was requested to the scene.

NH State Police Major Crime truck used for processing crime scenes was parked in front of 19 Baboosic Lake Rd which is off the main road and accessed off a dirt road with other houses. Law Enforcement could be coming in and out of the green house which sits on a small hill and is behind a thick woodline.

Thursday morning at 6:45 am the NH Attorney General indicated that their office, Amherst Police, and NH State Police were investigating a suspicious death in Amherst, NH but did not specify the address.

The press release advised “There is no evidence of an ongoing threat to the public, they said in a joint statement with the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit and local police.”
