Manchester NH - Manchester Police received calls of two cows wandering in the Mall of NH on South Willow St after dark when the mall was closed. The two MPD officers responding concerned for the safety of the cows (no people in lot) tried to keep the cows corralled away from the roadway and busy highway.
Using their cruisers, lights and sirens they kept them moving. After approx 1 hour the owner of the cows came on scene and assisted the MPD in getting the cows back to their home at a farm approx 1/2 mile away. The cows had recently been brought to a farm on So Mammoth Rd and they apparently wandered thru back yards and eventually ended up at the mall of NH.
The animals were safe, and unharmed.
