Hollis, NH - Hollis police and fire were called to a home on Runnells Bridge Road Saturday around 11:00 a.m. for items that were possibly live hand grenades.
When police and fire arrived they found that an estate sale being held and in the garage someone was looking through items and found items that looked like hand grenades that were still intact.
Hollis fire and police blocked the roadway and notified Nashua Police Bomb Squad for how to handle the situation. NPD dispatched one of the bomb technicians to the scene.
A Nashua Police Bomb Technician examined the devices and determined that the devices were still live and contained explosives.
Hollis Police Sergeant Jonathan Tate said that the bomb technician removed the items from the property and they will be safely disposed of by Nashua Police.
The road was opened to traffic and all units cleared around 2:00 p.m.
