Manchester, NH - Late Monday afternoon MFD responded to Circle Rd for a rescue involving two animals. A dog owner walking his dog lost control of “ollie” when a cat ran by. Ollie chased the cat (unknown name) into a culvert where both animals became stuck.

MFD Engine 3 arrived to find both animals in the pipe which ran under the roadway. Using experience from previous incidents the ran a fire hose with low pressure forcing water into the pipe. Ollie came out first into the waiting arms of his owner. The cat later came out at a high speed running off and wanted nothing to do with the humans helping.

Both animals appeared to be uninjured.
