MANCHESTER, NH - On July 16, 2020 at 4:20 pm Manchester Police, Fire and AMR responded to 729 Pine Street for a report of a person with a gunshot wound, and a gunshot heard in the area.

MFD and AMR staged away from the scene waiting for MPD to secure the scene, and any weapons which may have been involved.

According to MPD Spokesperson Heather Hamel, “Responding Officers learned that 2 people had been involved in an altercation in an apartment. One man was shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital.”

While on scene we observed a male being transported by AMR, he was conscious and speaking to the medical personnel.

Manchester Police Officers surrounded the front of the house with crime scene tape as detectives arrived to the scene.

A MPD Officer removed a dog from the apartment building and secured the dog in the cruiser.

A MPD Officer with his K9 entered the house for a short time, and then took the K9 back to his cruiser.

MPD said in a press release: “This is an isolated incident, all people have been identified and are known to each other. The investigation is ongoing.”
