MPD, AMR, MFD responded to 865 Second St for a person who was allegedly shot and was inside Pizza Express. AMR immediately activated a trauma alert at CMC and the victim was taken via AMR with MFD assisting to CMC.

MPD secured a perimeter as early indications were that a gun may be involved and a robbery may have occurred at First Nutrition and the victim had gone to Pizza Express for help. MPD was told the suspect was possibly still inside First Nutrition so the building needed to be check by MPD.

NHSP was requested to the scene with a K9 to assist. Multiple troopers responded and joined the perimeter set up.

After securing the scene it was discovered the suspect described as caucasian, approx 5’7”, husky build, clean shaven may have left the scene in what was described by MPD Lt O’Keefe as a dark colored pick up. A k9 track was not done due to the information gathered of the suspect potentially fleeing in a vehicle.

MPD was able to gather additional information of the victims condition and found the male received head and facial injuries which did not involve a gun shot wound. Our sources indicate the victim will survive his injuries.

As of 645 PM detectives remain on scene processing the scene and evidence.
