Details of Incident: Basement fire in the NE corner of the building. 1st arriving firefighters from the Webster St Station did an awesome job in attacking the fire after crawling in heavy smoke conditions from the rear to the front of the building. Simultaneous searches by other firefighters confirmed all occupants were out of the other areas of the building.
Any special features: Heavy smoke throughout building upon arrival. 5 occupants self-evacuated prior to our arrival.
Extent of Damage: $60,000
No Injuries
Remarks: 10 total occupants of the building will be displaced for some time. The electrical and gas service were disconnected by the utility companies. There was extensive damage to the 1st floor bedroom above the fire due to the search for hidden fire by firefighters.
