On January 7, 2021 at 7:31 p.m. Manchester Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in the rear of 368 Lake Ave. On their arrival, they had heavy fire coming from the rear of a structure.
The fire was burning through several power lines, dropping live power lines hanging from the poles.

Firefighters had an adjacent building 1 foot from the burning structure, and another one connected to the front of the burning structure.

A second alarm was called immediately to bring additional apparatus and personnel to the scene.

MFD Rescue 1 firefighters worked to evacuate people from the front and adjacent building, with heavy fire encroaching on them.

Using ground ladders to access the building the firefighters made progress in knocking down the fire.

The fire building which appears to have originally been a garage has been converted to finished living space. The structure is occupied on the first and second floor, and also had a full basement.

No firefighters or civilians were injured.

The fire is under investigation by MFD Fire Investigators.
