Fatality Occurs Near Interstate 93

Londonderry-New Hampshire State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Christopher Wagner and Londonderry Fire Chief Darren O’Brien announce that an investigation is currently underway involving a fire that occurred in a motor vehicle where one subject perished.

Today at approximately 12:08 p.m. passerby’s reported that a vehicle traveling south on Interstate 93 in Londonderry left the roadway near Exit 5. The vehicle came to a final rest approximately 30 feet off of the roadway into the wood line. Moments later witnesses reported that the vehicle was on fire, troopers responded to the location but were unable to rescue the driver who was inside the vehicle.

This incident is being investigated by members of the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the NH State Police, and the Londonderry Fire Department. An autopsy is scheduled for November 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
