MANCHESTER, NH - On September 17, 2020 at 10:23 am Manchester Fire responded to the report of a fire inside a Manchester DPW garbage truck on Melrose Street.br/br/The operator of the garbage truck noticed the fire in the contents that nearly filled his back of his truck. Using the training he had received he dumped the contents of the truck and MFD was notified. Fire crews extinguished the contents from the truck, and as a precautionary measure used foam on the inside of the back of the truck.br/br/Manchester DPW brought a front loader to the scene to separate the garbage so that fire crews could make sure it was extinguished. After crews were done extinguishing the contents, the load of garbage was picked up and hauled away.br/br/No one was injured in the incident.br/br/©Jeffrey Hastings www.frameofmindphoto.com/news
