Manchester- Shortly after midnight NHSP received calls for a serious accident on 93 North just south of Exit 6 (Candia Rd.)
A Jeep stopped on the highway for unknown reasons was hit from behind at full speed by a tractor trailer also headed north. The driver of the Jeep (22/M unconfirmed) was ejected from the vehicle on to the lanes of travel of Rt 93 NH.
The tractor trailers fuel tanks were ruptured in the accident spilling approx 100 gallons of fuel on the highway and in to the storm drain causing a haz-mat issue. MFD using pads and oil dri to stop further contamination.
AMR and MFD transported the victim to the Elliot Hospital with life threatening traumatic injuries. At the time of writing this information the patient was alive.
