Manchester NH - MFD responded to reports of smoke coming from the building at 49 West Street an unoccupied building. Upon arrival they had smoke showing and two occupied buildings just a few feet away. Civilians, MFD and MPD evacuated the adjacent buildings and sheltered occupants from the frigid temperatures. The fire extended in the building to the roof which required ventilation and the work of a ladder truck surrounded by a large number of wires. The fire was labeled suspicious, and possibly started by squatters in the building. No civilians or fire personnel were injured.
