Manchester fire responded to a report of a fire on the 3rd-floor porch of a multi-family house at 411 Central Street on March 9, 2021.
When crews arrived they found a fire smouldering on the 3rd-floor porch. Firefighters opened up the ceiling below and extinguished the fire.
There were plastic cups with smoking material that had been put out in the cups. It appears that some of the items were still burning and extended into the wood on the porch.
What could have become a very serious and damaging fire was extinguished quickly due to someone noticing the fire and reporting it.
The fire is under investigation by MFD but appears to have been caused by improper disposal of smoking materials.©Jeffrey Hastings www.frameofmindphoto.com/news
