Manchester Fire and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to the Gateway building on Commercial Street for an unresponsive person hanging over the roof.
When firefighters arrived a person pointed out an unresponsive person on an angled roof over a fire escape. According to witnesses, the persons lower body was dangling off the roof and the man was unresponsive.
Firefighters from Truck 1, and Engine 11 quickly worked to remove the man and bring him to the ground to be evaluated. Firefighters and AMR Medics worked on the man who was responsive by that time and brought him to a waiting AMR ambulance.
The man was transported to a local hospital. It is unknown what the man was doing on the roof of the building.
