MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police SWAT surrounded a building on Merrimack Street Thursday morning and ordered several people to exit the multi-unit apartment building.

Police used a loudspeaker and announced the names of three people to exit. None of the occupants complied at that time, so police launched a drone for surveillance over the house and brought a K-9 to the residence. The residence's front door could be lying on the ground from police breaching the door.

Police continued to issue commands for the occupants to exit. After more than an hour, a man and woman exited the residence. The two were searched, placed in handcuffs, and transported from the scene. It is unknown if they face charges.

A third subject remained in the house and appeared to refuse to exit.

At about 10:45 a.m., police made entry into an apartment. A K-9 could be heard barking shortly after a man was brought from the building with apparent wounds to his lower extremities.

AMR ambulance was summoned to the scene, and the man was transported to the hospital with dog bites to the buttocks and leg.
