MFD River "Rescue" 3-1-21

Manchester fire, police and AMR were dispatched to the Merrimack March 1, 2021 for a reported body in the river.

The caller stated the person with a white t-shirt and long red hair was floating down the river.

MFD Engine 11, and Rescue 1 responded to the boat ramp behind Delta Dental Stadium and launched two boats as MPD located the caller North of the location near the Waumbec Mills at 250 Commercial St.

It was quickly discovered the person believed to be in the river was safe, and they were able to reach him on the phone.

There is an encampment down the embankment just South of Arms Park where the person usually lives.

All units were returned in service once it was verified there was no one located in the river.
