The moon on November 13, 2016 and November 14, 2016 is being labeled a “Super Moon”. This is due to it being the closest to earth as it will be until 2034. With the moon being closer it appears to be larger, although it is the same size. The moon is actually full on Monday November 14th, and is called a “Full Beaver Moon”. According to Space.com the moon will appear approx 15% larger than normal.
This photograph was taken in Merrimack, NH as the moon rose on Sunday evening. The colorful pastel sky offered a beautiful contrast.
