Car crash, injuries, death, jaws of life, horror, and grief these are all things that the Senior Class of Merrimack High School experienced in a very realistic crash scene.

Yearly several people come together to put a graphic enactment of what happens when people are distracted while driving, or impaired. Merrimack Fire Rescue rushes to the scene using Jaws of Life to extricate patients while Merrimack Police comfort the parent of the deceased girl who is lifeless on the pavement.

Student hear from speakers about impairment, distracted driving and how many lives it changes. This year after the mock crash was followed by a memorial service in the Merrimack High gym where a casket was displayed with the photo of the girl killed in the crash. A speaker spoke about being hit at 130 MPH by a impaired driver and the near death experience he had which changed his life forever.

A lesson for all to learn from, both students, and adults.
