Windham, NH - A Tractor Trailer with an empty tank left the right side of the roadway striking the guardrail and ending up hanging over the edge of the bridge. The force of the collision caused pieces of the guardrail, and the engine of the truck to tumble to the road below. Windham Fire transported the driver with non life-threatening injuries to the hospital. NHSP worked on keeping the road way open but limited to one lane. NHDES was called to the scene due to the two saddle tanks of the tractor spilling approx 200 gallons of diesel. NHDOT assisted with alerting traffic while NHSP tried to keep traffic moving. Bauchman’s Towing used several pieces of equipment to stabilize the TT unit, and then remove it from the scene.
