Merrimack, NH - Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to a pump which had spilled some diesel in to the Baboosic Brook at the Wire Road Bridge. Continental Paving who had recently installed the pump found that the diesel was coming out of the fill tube, possibly due to a broken cap which allowed rain water in. A small amount of diesel fuel was on the ground and in the rocks so MFR put out pads and booms to absorb the oil. Continental Paving removed the rocks and soil from the scene to prevent any future run off in to the brook.
