Pepperell 8 Alarm 11-23-18

Pepperell, MA - Fire Fighters responded to RH Wilson Auto at 44 North St in Pepperell, MA on Friday November 23, 2018 for a fire in the building. The building approx 30,000 Sq Ft building had heavy fire and smoke when the first companies arrived on the scene. Eight Alarms brought fire departments from 17 communities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts responded to assist in fighting the fire. Water supply was a significant challenge with the closes water supply .5 miles away. A tanker shuttle operation was operated for nearly 8 hours bringing water to the scene. The fire is believed to have started when a worker welding ignited something. The scene was also a challenge with the multiple chemicals and flammable items in the building.
