BEDFORD, NH — The Bedford Police Department is actively investigating a domestic incident on Palomino Lane after receiving an urgent call from an out-of-state medical agency on July 13.

According to reports, the agency representative informed Bedford Police that they had been on the phone with a Palomino Lane resident who was involved in an escalating and physical domestic violence situation. The representative conveyed that the resident was reportedly being prevented from leaving the home and that the call abruptly ended.

Bedford police promptly responded to the residence to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers made multiple attempts to contact the occupants, both in person and by phone, but all efforts were unsuccessful. Given the concerning nature of the information and the inability to establish contact, the Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit was called to the scene for assistance. A search warrant was subsequently executed at the residence.

Inside, officers located two occupants, who were confirmed to be safe and were briefly detained as part of the ongoing investigation.

Bedford police indicated they are seeking follow-up information from the out-of-state medical agency, but the agency is reportedly no longer responding to inquiries.

The investigation remains active and ongoing, and as of now, no charges have been filed against either occupant.

Authorities have assured the public that there is no active threat to the Palomino Lane neighborhood or the wider community.
